MediQuest Staffing Receives Workers' Compensation Safety Award During its annual meeting last week, the Pennsylvania Homecare and Human Services Workers' Compensation Trust Fund presented its annual safety award to MediQuest Staffing, Inc. for having the lowest loss ratio for the year. Kathy Bailey accepted the award on behalf of the agency and its employees. "I am very proud of our caregivers who use safe procedures and consider the safety of our clients as well as their own personal safety when working," she said. The Workers' Compensation Trust was established in 2006 and currently has 39 member organizations. PHA was instrumental in establishing the trust in response to members' concerns over rising workers' compensation premiums. Having a workers' compensation insurance company that provides coverage for similar entities - homecare and other community-based organizations - enables it to target risk management efforts. The trust also has very aggressive claims management, with oversight and guidance provided by the trust board, made up of representatives from homecare agencies.
