Seventy Pennsylvania Agencies Named to HomeCare Elite List
A total of 70 agencies, almost 15% of Pennsylvania's 487 home health agencies, were named to the 2012 HomeCare Elite, a compilation of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States.
The list of HomeCare Elite agencies is ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, process measure implementation and financial performance. Agencies that have earned recognition among the HomeCare Elite demonstrated that they not only can adapt to an evolving marketplace but continue to excel in both clinical and financial outcomes.
"I am so pleased that our VNA has, once again, been listed as a HomeCare Elite agency," said Jill Over, Clarion Forest VNA. "Our staff has worked extremely hard to deal with all the regulatory and reimbursement changes while our local economy continues to suffer, and it helps to be recognized for a job well done."
"I am thrilled that the hard work by our managers and staff has lead to the agency achieving HomeCare Elite status," said Andrea Devoti, Neighborhood VNA. "This recognition is great and we are very proud to have achieved this status again this year."
"Being included in the HomeCare Elite is so exciting," said Julie Swonger, In-Home Solutions Plus. "HomeCare Elite providers are achieving quality outcomes which are so important in today's health care and as we move into the future with accountable care organizations. This type of recognition is a direct result of the high quality care our team provides."
"For the past 30 years, Allied Services Home Health has provided services to help people remain safely at home when they require the services of a skilled clinician to help address healthcare needs," said MaryLou Knabel, Allied Services HomeCare Services. "Our home health team at Allied Services Integrated Health System is proud to have earned the distinguished HomeCare Elite status for the fifth consecutive year. While our patients consistently tell us about their 'Miracles in Home Health and Rehab,' we are equally appreciative of being ranked among the elite home health programs."
"Community HomeHealth Care is honored to be included in the HomeCare Elite for 2012," said Bob Stanley, Community HomeHealth Care. "This is the fourth time that we have had this honor. I congratulate the staff of Community HomeHealth Care for their hard work and dedication toward achieving this recognition. We are blessed to have such a caring and skilled staff. Our patients are the ones who benefit from this level of service."
"We are honored to be selected for the fifth time to the HomeCare Elite list. This is the first time we have been selected to the top 500 list," said Loreen Comstock, Columbia Montour Home Health and Hospice. "This is truly a testament that our staff works collaboratively across disciplines and departments to provide quality care to our patients."
"As an organization we believe we have the greatest home health staff in the area," said Kathleen Hoffman, Family Home Medical. "It is wonderful as a manager to receive this national recognition as reinforcement. However, the most important result is the recognition for our staff. They work very hard and care deeply for the seniors in the area. I couldn't be prouder of each and every member of our team. We wouldn't have this honor without them."
