PHA Member Feedback Webinar: CMS CY 2023 Proposed Home Health Rule

Description: Comments on the CY 2023 home health proposed rule are due to CMS by August 16.  PHA will submit comments on behalf of members, and members are encouraged to submit their own. 

Among other items, the Rule:

• Proposes a significant (4.2% net, or $810 million) reduction in Medicare home health payments.
• Proposes a permanent 5% cap on negative wage index changes, regardless of the underlying reason for the decrease.
• Will update home infusion-therapy services payment rates.

CMS is also seeking stakeholder feedback on health-equity measure development and the potential future application of health equity in Expanded Home Health Value-Based Purchasing Model and the collection of telehealth data on home health claims.
