Starting a Homecare Agency

Homecare providers offer support at home through assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, meal preparation and help getting around the house. Research shows that just a few hours per day of assistance from a homecare agency can be effective in decreasing hospital re-admissions and doctor’s visits, improving care coordination and preventing cognitive decline.

Where do you start?

The Pennsylvania Homecare Association (PHA) developed a comprehensive 400-page business guide that includes all of the information, tools, and customizable sample policies that providers need to apply for a homecare agency license with the Department of Health and enroll in Pennsylvania's Medicaid program through the Department of Human Services.

The resource also includes inside information on how to be successful in the new Community HealthChoices program, how to comply with new specialized care rules, and more.

The resource costs $700 for non-members. Click here to order your copy.
