Family caregivers from across the state are coming to the state Capitol on June 13 to share their experiences caring for their loved ones at home with legislators and other officials.

More than 1.6 million Pennsylvanians care for older parents, spouses, or other loved ones, helping them to live independently in their own homes. They provide nearly $20 billion in uncompensated care each year -- saving Medicaid thousands of dollars. But they need our support as they continue to face the challenges of caregiving, missing work, increasing out-of-pocket expenses, and struggles with depression, which are common among family caregivers.

Following the legislative meetings, PHA will hold a briefing to unveil a brand new resource developed specifically for these families.
