HomeCare Webinar Description:

Current State and National Emergencies due to the COVID-19 pandemic have challenged non- medical home care providers to develop and implement enhanced infection prevention and control practices in order to safeguard workers and consumers. This session will provide strategies to develop an organization-wide pandemic plan for implementation and to prepare for a focused survey.

The webinar will include:

  • Practical infection prevention and control guidance for personnel, office management, visitors, staff education, staff responsibilities, safe care of consumers, and emergency staffing.
  • Policy and emergency operational recommendations for Long-Term Service and Support under CHC/MCOs.
  • Examples unique to the home care agency setting for verifying and documenting training, effective practices, PPE management, required surveillance and compliance.
