Home Health & Hospice Webinar Description:
The current COVID-19 pandemic has created organization-wide challenges. In the interest of providing the safest care possible, CMS recently defined imperative areas for targeted infection control survey activity. This session will assist providers to prepare and identify key practices that safeguard staff, volunteers, visitors and patients. The session will provide strategies to address CMS focus areas for home and facility- based visits.

This webinar will include:

  • The scope of CMS targeted areas including personnel, office management, direct care delivery policies, procedures, staff training and responsibilities, competency identification, pandemic infection prevention/control, emergency planning and emergency staffing.
  • Identification of survey priorities and verification including documentation practices to avoid potential condition level findings or Immediate Jeopardy.
  • A discussion of basic organization-wide policies and processes that must be addressed e.g., Emergency Management Policies, office visitors, PPE management and personnel practices such as sick leave, return to work.
