Join PHA to Discuss Proposed Changes to Medicaid Access, Managed Care 

PHA members are invited to participate in a members-only session on Thursday, May 18, at 2:00 p.m. to discuss the recently released proposed rules on Medicaid access and managed care. 

As a reminder, on Thursday, April 28, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released a pair of proposed regulations that will significantly impact the Medicaid program if finalized. The two notices of proposed rulemaking, Medicaid Access and Medicaid Managed Care rules, address a wide range of issues regarding coverage, access, and payment for Medicaid services. For example, the Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services Proposed Rule would require, among other things, that at least 80 percent of all Medicaid payments be spent on compensation to direct care workers for homemaker, home health and personal care services. 

During this one-hour session, we’ll provide a high-level review of the proposed rules and solicit your feedback. PHA will incorporate your input in the comments we submit to CMS on behalf of members, so please plan to participate!
